Anita Onyenagiri

ELA Teacher

Hello! I’m Anita, an elementary ELA educator from Charlotte, North Carolina, with a strong focus on developing confident, proficient readers and writers through explicit, research-aligned literacy instruction. My training in Orton-Gillingham and morphology supports my ability to teach how words work, from phonics and decoding to vocabulary, fluency, and comprehension, while using student data to identify gaps, differentiate instruction, and provide targeted support. I combine rigorous, standards-aligned ELA instruction with engaging, student-centered learning that strengthens reading, writing, discussion, and critical thinking. Above all, I strive to create a structured, joyful classroom where scholars feel supported, challenged, and empowered as learners, while also attending to their individual academic and social-emotional needs.
